In Fran Wood's column in The Star-Ledger on Sunday, Feb. 3, she compares the plans for the Rutgers Stadium expansion to "boys and their toys."
No matter what you think about the expansion plans for Rutgers Stadium, why would she bring gender into the argument?
If we're looking at bad sports deals for New Jersey, I'll remind you that it was Christie Whitman (a girl, I guess she'd call her) who restructured the Devils' lease to keep them from moving. She stuck us with a deal in which the state actually lost money every time the Devils had a home game.
